Uploading Files With WS_FTP When you start the program you will be faced with the above screen. Click New and fill in the details. Profile Name: whatever you want to refer to this connection as: Host Name/Address: "yourdomain.com" or "yourdomain.ca" etc. Host Type: Automatic detect User ID: Will be emailed to you once account has been set up Password: Will be emailed to you once account has been set up Finally Click OK Once you have connected you will see a similar view to above. Please note that when you connect you will see the remote site section at the top right saying /www this is the default login directory and is where you should upload your pages & images etc. To create a directory, on the server click the MkDir button on the right side of the WS_FTP LE client as shown above. You will be prompted for the name of the new remote folder, type in your choice. Click OK. As you can see the new folder has been created to view any files you include in there you would need to point your browser to: http://yourdomain.com To upload a file from your computer to the remote site single click the file in the left window and then click the button in the middle --> to transfer the file. To download a file from the remote site to your computer single click the file in the right window and then click the <-- button. To remove/delete a file or folder on he remote site you can right click the file or folder then select Delete Folder as shown above. You will be asked to Confirm the delete option. Click OK You can of course single click the file and then click the Delete button on the right side of the WS_FTP LE client and then confirm delete. Once you have finished, click Close and then click Exit.
